Structuring Support System in Association with Non-Japanese Communities
SHARE has offered support for the health of Thai people living in Japan based on their many years' activities in Thailand. TAWAN (Volunteer Group Supporting Health of Thais Living in Japan) has long worked with SHARE on this program, and is now a full-fledged group implementing awareness campaigns for HIV on its own. By cooperating with SHARE, TAWAN takes the initiative in this project. Liaising with concerned NGOs, international communities, medical institutions, and the Thai Embassy in Japan, they offer training for Thai AIDS-volunteers, lecture meetings on AIDS and health care consultations.
